Senior Server Engineer

SUMMARY:
Datacentrix Cape Town has a permanent vacancy for a Senior VMware Engineer with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV and Linux KVM skills. You must have 7 to 10 year's experience supporting datacentre software and supporting Tier 3 escalations.

The role is based at client site in Pinelands.

POSITION INFO:
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Matric and MCSE
• VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization 2024
• 7 years plus experience supporting Microsoft Exchange 2010 or higher
• 7 years plus experience supporting Active Directory and HyperV
• 5 years experience supporting SCCM and exposure to OS Deployment
• Must have experience in the following :
  • Performed infrastructure administration on various platforms including vSphere, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Cisco UCS, Citrix vApps and Windows server

• VMware support specialist
• Proactive analysis of system health with in depth reporting
• Preventative maintenance
• Architect new solutions
• Assist with escalations from 2nd line support engineers
