SUMMARY:
The role will be working within our existing Quantum team; a SharePoint architect and a SharePoint developer, working on the development of the Quantum solution.
Quantum is a group SharePoint tool designed to be the single source of the truth for all customer specific data and documents in CC. The role will be focussing primarily on the Quantum 3.0 project which is building functionality to support bid and project teams across the Group within the Quantum environment. The role will concentrate on developing the platform to work with, and present, SharePoint data in new ways; using what we call widgets to present interactive bite sized groups of data within dedicated working areas in an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing way.
We provision our sites with PNP, so knowledge of PNP and PowerShell scripting, would be a huge advantage. Automation of tasks is also something that will be worked on utilising Nintex forms and workflow. In addition, the role will also be required to work on aggregation and presentation of data from across site collections, and work on the interfaces of the solution with other business tools e.g. Pulse, Datawarehouse etc.
There are other SharePoint based projects that the role would also need to support with which fall outside of the Quantum project for example; an export compliance tracking tool, again using lists and Nintex forms and Workflow, and the Customer Knowledge Database.

POSITION INFO:
Accountabilities:

  • Perform a complex range of technical work activities either remotely or at customer site to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions to meet customer and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate small teams delivering basic work packages in line with company process to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Analyse, Document and report on work completed to ensure compliance with Company and Customer Procedures.
  • Ensures that operational documentation is fit for purpose and current to meet customer and contract requirements.
  • Develop best practice procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent compliance to customer and company procedures.
  • Provides specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues to ensure consistent approach.
  • Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met.
  • Able to communicate on complex issues to meet business and customer requirements to avoid escalations.
  • Evaluate escalations and resolve appropriately to ensure customer demands are met.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure consistent experience.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic team environments to maintain consistent effective contribution.
  • Identify own development needs in line with business objectives.
  • Acts as a role model for colleagues with regards to technical and behavioural competencies.

  • SharePoint 2013 out of the box features

  • Experience of SharePoint Online
  • Beneficial - Experience of Agile (SCRUM)
Experience:
  • 5+ years SharePoint development experience with a focus on client-side development
  • Advanced understanding of SharePoint architecture including advanced search configuration
  • Advanced working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Advanced working knowledge of HTML
  • Advanced working knowledge of CSS
  • Advanced working knowledge of REST API and jQuery
  • Advanced working knowledge of PowerShell
  • Advanced working knowledge of SharePoint Object Model (primarily JSOM)
  • Advanced understanding of Nintex Workflows and forms
  • Advanced understanding of React
  • Good knowledge of PNP
