Minimum requirements:

• Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Registration as a Construction Manager with SACPCMP.
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience in the Civil Construction industry.
• Successful track record of the experience and ability to plan, organise and control a civil construction contract to specification and within budget (financial planning and costing skills).
• Knowledge and experience of the application of various project specifications, products and processes used in civil construction.
• Experience in the efficient utilisation of resources and sub-contractors.
• Well-developed networking and negotiating skills.
• Procurement and brand building experience.

• Working knowledge of all types of contract specifications and documents.

• Proven leadership skills and abilities.
• Ability to develop and motivate staff at all levels.
• Ability to manage, plan and implement Health and Safety specifications and standards on projects.
• Strong planning and organising skills.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve challenging targets.
• Self-directed and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to travel nationally for unspecified periods.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• In possession of a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
