POSITION INFO:

My client is looking for a Senior Software Developer who wants to work on impactful technology at scale and take ownership beyond just writing code.

This role is deeply hands‑on and highly cross‑functional. You’ll build and maintain cloud services, front‑end applications, and mobile solutions that power large‑scale operations across multiple African markets. Rather than being siloed, you’ll work across the full ecosystem, backend services, front‑end interfaces, mobile apps, and internal tools, gaining broad technical exposure.

Developers in this team are expected to own outcomes, not just features. You’ll collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams, ensuring the software you build delivers real‑world value. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring other developers, shaping best practices, and contributing to architectural and DevOps decisions that influence long‑term system resilience.

This is an opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, thinking about users with very different technology constraints, and building systems that operate reliably in challenging environments.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 6+ years’ experience in software development
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python
Experience working with backend frameworks such as FastAPI
Exposure to modern front‑end frameworks (e.g. Vue.js is a strong advantage)
Experience designing systems with complex external integrations
Solid understanding of AWS and cloud‑based architectures
Familiarity with test‑driven development and strong developer workflows
Experience working with databases and distributed systems
Strong problem‑solving ability and collaborative communication style

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
