Senior Systems Administrator – Syspro ERP

SUMMARY:
Our client, Africa's leading Window Décor Hardware supplier, with over 50 years experience in the industry, seeks an experienced Syspro ERP System Administrator to be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Syspro Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment. This role acts as the primary technical custodian of the Syspro platform and serves as the key liaison between end users, IT infrastructure teams, third-party vendors, and the Syspro reseller/support network.

The successful candidate will ensure high system availability, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance across all Syspro modules, while supporting the organisation's broader digital and operational objectives.

POSITION INFO:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

ERP & Systems Management:

• Act as the internal custodian of the Syspro ERP environment, ensuring the system operates reliably and supports operational and financial processes.

• Support and troubleshoot warehouse and operational systems integrated with Syspro to ensure seamless manufacturing and distribution processes.

• Manage relationships with outsourced IT service providers and ensure service delivery meets agreed SLAs and operational requirements.

• Monitor the performance and reliability of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring backup, disaster recovery and system resilience processes are maintained.

• Support technology initiatives and identify opportunities to improve systems, integrations and operational efficiency across the business.

• Work closely with internal teams across Operations, Finance and Warehousing to ensure IT systems effectively support business requirements.

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Syspro Certification or formal Syspro training advantageous.
• Relevant Microsoft, SQL or ERP Certifications beneficial.

• Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in IT systems administration or IT operations.
• Proven hands-on experience supporting and administering Syspro ERP (essential).
• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience managing third-party IT service providers and SLAs.

• Strong Syspro ERP administration and troubleshooting.
• SQL Server knowledge including reporting and system troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting ERP integrations and operational systems.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks and systems environments.
• Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to perform after-hours or weekend maintenance when required.
