Senior Talent and Learning Specialist

SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for the following position: We are seeking a strategic and driven Senior Talent and Learning Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate impactful talent development solutions that align with business priorities and foster organisational capability. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic, high-performance environment known for its ethical culture, rigorous governance, and focus on continuous learning and people development.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• A relevant Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent (NQF Level 7+).
• Minimum 6 years’ experience designing and implementing talent development initiatives.
• Proven ability to drive strategic HR projects and influence across all levels.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound understanding of SAQA, skills legislation, performance frameworks, and competency models.
• Experience with learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement talent management policies, procedures, and programmes.
• Conduct skills gap analyses, performance evaluations, and diagnostics to inform development strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership, HR, and internal stakeholders to drive the talent agenda.
• Design and deliver onboarding, learning, coaching, and succession initiatives.
• Manage and implement e-learning and instructor-led training using the 70-20-10 principle.
• Evaluate learning interventions using feedback, ROI, and performance data.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend innovative development practices.
• Use data analytics to inform talent decisions and interventions.
• Support compliance with skills development legislation and reporting requirements.
