Senior Tax Accountant

SUMMARY:
Umhlanga - A leading and well-established Financial Brokerage seeks a Professional Tax Accountant to join their fast-growing Tax division.

POSITION INFO:
As an independent financial brokerage, our client provides a wide array of Financial Services services to its Professional clients in the market including Risk, Investment and Estate Planning. They pride themselves in providing exceptional client services unmatched within the industry.

They are seeking a Professional Tax Accountant to provide full accounting service offerings to the company's clients. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, detail-orientated and enthusiastic. Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounting and tax function portfolio.
• Produce monthly management reports
• Full accounting function to trial balance
• Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on CaseWare
• Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters
• Must have experience on e-filing (SARS)
• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies, VAT returns for sole proprietors, and trusts
• Prepare VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts
• Competent to attend to all SARS correspondence
• Filing of notices of objections, and suspension of debt on e-filing
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Must be willing to travel to clients
• Responsible for keeping up to date with Tax laws and Regulations
• Optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities for clients
• Tax planning
• Compliance support
• Advisory services

• Accounting degree or Higher Diploma - This is non-negotiable
• Completed articles
• Affiliations to SAIPA, ACC, CIMA and SAIBA
• Pastel experience and knowledge
• Fluent knowledge on CaseWare and Pastel is imperative
• 3 - 5 years experience in an Accounting enviroment
• Own Vehicle and Valid driver's license
