Senior Tax Accountant

Opportunity has opened up in a wealth management team for a Senior Tax Accountant. Responsible for the review of client tax calculations, coordination tax reports, assist with setting VAT policy on commissions and fees etc.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing client income tax on switches or surrenders
• Provide guidance to business around tax interpretations
• Champion automation of tax processes
• Keep abreast of tax practices and legislation
• Ensuring compliance with regulations
• Advising on tax aspects of transactions
• Assist with implementation of tax systems planning

Requirements

• Minimum of either a Accounting qualification / CA(SA) / Tax qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' experience either in the tax consulting space or recently qualified CA(SA) with keen interest in a career within tax
• Excellent relationship building skills and ability to collaborate with others
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Driven, professional and delivery focussed
• Strategic thinker, highly numerate and passionate about a career within a tax specialist role.
