SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Accountant to join our Group Finance team. The role will focus on technical accounting, IFRS compliance, group reporting, and month-end close across multiple entities. This position also provides exposure to complex projects, including acquisitions and disposals, while supporting business-critical decisions through accurate financial reporting.

POSITION INFO:

Lead and support ad hoc Group Finance projects and implementation of new policies, processes, and controls
Manage technical accounting and group reporting for projects such as acquisitions and disposals
Prepare and present technical accounting papers to auditors and management
Conduct technical accounting research, staying up to date with IFRS changes
Own the month-end and year-end close process for assigned entities
Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports
Ensure intercompany reconciliations are completed and resolved timeously
Collaborate with auditors and provide guidance on accounting implications of business decisions
Support the Consolidation Finance Manager with group consolidation and reporting

Skills & Experience:
Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS expertise
Experience in group reporting, multi-jurisdictional entities, and intercompany transactions
Strong Excel skills (macros, Power Pivot, Power BI advantageous)
Experience preparing financial statements and technical accounting papers
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate
Previous financial services industry experience is advantageous

Qualification:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (SAICA)
Knowledge of jurisdictional tax requirements advantageous
Experience with accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central beneficial)
