JOB SUMMARY:
A global company specializing in industrial food processing equipment, requires the services of a well experienced Technician that will be focused on the overall customer after sales technical service experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key function of the role:
The successful candidate will be working closely with the clients to create comprehensive and timely solutions on the services and repairs of supported machines. Coordinating the Maintenance Team to maintain and improve high levels of customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention and increase profitability.
Main job responsibilities:

Co-ordinate and plan Maintenance services and inspections, projects and customer visits
Provide customer service and support during field visits
Manage all on-site installation, maintenance repairs and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes
Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions to produce timely and details service reports
Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with clients and co-workers
Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and briefings using appropriate filed procedures and protocols
Establish client assistance by studying system requirements, including ordering, and gathering essential components and parts, completing the installation of components and performing quality assurance tests once machines are running.
Maintain customer satisfaction by using creativity and ingenuity to investigate complaints, identify solutions, suggest enhanced operating techniques and recommended system/machine improvements
Service existing customers by analysing work orders, planning a daily travel schedule, reviewing concerns, conducting tests and resolving problems
Provide training to maintenance team on products if/when required
Grow the existing aftermarket business by promoting parts sales and services at customers

Education and skills requirements:
Grade 12
Relevant Trade Test certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Turner etc.)
8 years + working experience as a Technician within FMCG/Manufacturing environment
Previous experience as Field Service Technician would be advantage
Previous experience managing Artisans (required)
Ability to read and interpret diagrams (process flow’s, pneumatics, piping and PI&D)
Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with people on all levels
Willing to travel and ability to work flexible hours if/when required
Proficient computer literacy: MS Office suite
Valid driver’s license
