Senior Technical Support Engineer

SUMMARY:
An exciting start-up with global coverage of services to Network Carriers is looking for a skilled individual who will be responsible for the support, engineering, designing, deploying, managing, and supporting the core infrastructure and customer integrations.

POSITION INFO:

• Support New and Existing Carrier Integrations
• Technical lead for production incidents
• Resolve interruptions and outages, supporting in-country representatives, carrier technical teams and vendors
• Testing new tools, developing operational monitoring requirements
• Routine system inspections and maintenance
• Keep infrastructure and network documentation and procedures up-to-date
• Review projects documents from the project delivery team
• Drive and implement automation initiatives for system maintenance efforts
• Be ready to support the service during non-business hours

MUST HAVE

• Session Border Controller Products (e.g. Cisco, Ribbon, Dialogik etc.)
• Policy and Translation Rules (e.g. Routing Paths, Priority, Admission Control)
• Carrier Billing Platforms
• TCP and UDP Protocols
• SIP/SIPI Carrier Infrastructure
• Protocols: SIP, H.323, QoS, DHCP, SNMP, SS7, ISUP, ISDN/PRI, Routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
• Codecs - G.729, G.711, OPUS
• Tools/Monitoring: Wireshark, PING, Traceroute

Knowledge preferred:

• Cloud: AWS
• Development: JavaScript, Python
• Appliances (e.g. Cisco): core/edge routing/switching applications/hardware and/or SIP/TDM Gateways
• ACME: Session Border Controller and Translation Services
