SUMMARY:
An exciting career opportunity exists for a Senior Technology Services Consultant to join the operations function with our client in their Cape Town based office with a combination of remote, on-site and rotational standby/after hour support

POSITION INFO:
Job Specifications:
Support Services
Providing end-user (1st – 3rd level) assistance and escalation point for the Junior Consultants
Maintenance and support of end-user systems such as Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices, Network devices, Printers. Etc
Support and maintenance of meetings rooms and meeting room technologies such as audio/visual technology
Identification of services-abuse and escalation thereof
Pre-emptive maintenance on systems and the scheduling, designing and monitoring thereof
Support and maintenance of proactive endpoint management systems
Provide end-user support to the organisation: Windows 10, 11, and Mac | Desktop applications
Provide server and application support and administration not limited to the following systems:
Microsoft Office 365 | MS Azure & MS Intune Services | ADFS Services | Sage Accpac / People | BPM System | TS Plus | SAM’s Box CRM | HubSpot system | Smartsheets administration and support | Chase system | LMS systems support with LMS Support teams | Training centre support | SharePoint online | F-Secure Anti-virus | Mimecast services | MS Exchange | Active Directory, DNS, DHCP | SQL database support | Zoom support and setup for case studies | Backup facility coordination and monitoring (Veeam, and Druva Backup Management) | VPN Support | Printers support and administration | Papercut support and administration
Provide network support:
Wi-Fi | LAN cabling | Computer networks | Proxy and VPN management / support
Administration
Active Directory, Office 365 Services and Applications, Backups (VEEAM & Druva), Mimecast, F-Secure Anti-virus, Procurement procedures, vendor management, Dell & Microsoft services
Maintenance of business equipment and the maintenance of an updated company asset register
Monthly DACUM
Documentation and Training
Training end-users on how to effectively utilise technology
Creating documentation and materials to help educate both your customers and fellow team members on technical aspects of the product
Adhering company learning statutory and celebrate culture requirements
Documenting of knowledgebase, User Guides, and Technical Guides
Project
Projects are technology related and cover the full spectrum of ICT and Infrastructure. Participation in and leading of some technology innovation projects
Automation
Leverage technology and innovation to automate processes and systems within the technology space to enable a more effective and efficient way of work for the team
Assist business to leverage technology and technology innovation to become more effective and efficient in working within the enabling environment
Ensure you educate and upskill users on the latest technologies and technology innovations at their disposal and correct use of it

Minimum Requirements
A formal Information Technology tertiary qualification (Degree or similar) OR
IT Diploma or equivalent
MCSE or MCITP
Office 365 advantageous
MS Azure advantageous
ITIL V3 Certified beneficial
SharePoint Certified beneficial
VMWARE VCP Certified beneficial
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
