Senior Trainee: Compilation

SUMMARY:
Our client, a reputable accounting and professional services firm based in George, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Trainee: Compilation to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a candidate who is currently completing or has recently completed a recognised training contract and is looking to further develop their accounting, taxation, and client management expertise within a professional practice environment.

POSITION INFO:
Description: Assist in managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients across various industries. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients. Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers. Compile financial information in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers. Ensure assignments comply with firm policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain compliance with IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and relevant legislation. Assist with the training and development of junior staff. Manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines. Ensure work is completed within budgeted hours and agreed timelines. Requirements: Grade 12 \/ Matric. Currently completing or recently completed a recognised accounting training contract. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Knowledge of IFRS and\/or IFRS for SMEs. Sound understanding of VAT and Income Tax legislation. Experience preparing annual financial statements and supporting working papers. Ability to manage client portfolios effectively. Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
