The Role:

We are recruiting a User Interface Designer with knowledge of Java script and other modern JS libraries/frameworks.

Entrepreneurial bias for action with ability to resolve problems with limited resources and input. must have the ability to manage change to adapt to business agility.

Skills and Experience:

Qualification Required:

Portfolio ofÂ UI-focused work samples for web and mobile applications
Professional HCI / UX / Design Thinking certifications are advantageous
An advanced degree in a relevant field, e.g. design, innovation.

Preferred Qualification:

Knowledge ofÂ Java script andÂ otherÂ modern JS libraries/frameworks
Design certification from accredited design schoolExperience designing for omni-channel services a big plus.

Experience required:

6Â years or moreÂ design experience
Experience designing for omni-channelÂ services a big plus
Experience designing for omni-channelÂ services a big plus
Experience spreading the gospel of design through teaching, publishing, speaking etc.

Key Accountabilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

ProficiencyÂ with Sketch,Â InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator,Â Zeplin,
Basic frontend development understanding (HTML CSS)
In-depthÂ understanding of product development life cycles and methodologies (Agile, Lean, etc.)
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration with all team members
Problem-solvingÂ ability with aÂ knack for both creative and critical thinking
Ability to work as a team with fellowÂ UI/UXÂ designers,Â developers, stakeholders,Â and the like
Passionate and intimately knowledgeable about design standards inÂ UIÂ andÂ interaction design both for web and mobile
Entrepreneurial bias for action with ability to resolve problems with limited resources and input

Personality and Attributes:

Excellent written and verbal communicationÂ toÂ present your ideas and communicateÂ every aspect of your designs
Flexibility and adaptabilityÂ - as a UIÂ designer you will be requiredÂ to wear many hats
EmpathyÂ for usersÂ an absolute must
Ability to manage change to adapt to business agility
Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance quality deliverables with tight deadlines
