POSITION INFO:
This organisation is a well-established property owner and operator with a diversified portfolio across commercial, retail, and residential assets. Known for its strong governance, data-led decision-making, and long-term value creation, the business places a high emphasis on operational excellence and sustainability.

The Senior Utilities Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate utility consumption tracking, billing validation, and cost recovery across the property portfolio. The role works closely with senior stakeholders and provides meaningful input into budgeting, forecasting, and strategic utility optimisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse utility consumption, costs, and billing to ensure accurate allocation and recovery across tenants.
Validate municipal and tenant invoices in line with approved billing methodologies and recovery ratios.
Prepare and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track utility performance and identify anomalies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing cost management for utilities across the portfolio.
Collaborate with tenants, municipalities, service providers, and internal teams to resolve utility-related queries.
Identify and implement process improvements, technology solutions, and energy efficiency initiatives.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education

Matric / Grade 12
BCom Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in utilities management within the energy services or property management sector
Experience working in multi-tenanted property environments
Exposure to portfolio-level utility reporting and stakeholder engagement
