POSITION INFO:
Senior Water Design Engineer (WIIG) (POS24273) Rosebank R1,5 mill per annum Core Purpose: Project leader\/task leader for consulting engineering in water and sanitation related to engineering projects. Tasks include planning, design, tender, construction monitoring of projects as well as general responsibilities with respect to marking, proposals and management of staff. Working with Senior Site Staff to manage Project Administration and resolve technical issues arising on large multidisciplinary, multi-contract bulk water projects Requirements: Degree - PrEng Civil (Essential) Professionally registered with SCAPCMP (an advantage) Bulk Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Design experience is a pre-requisite Duties: Programme work and set productivity targets in discussion with the Project Manager. Obtain and confirm acceptance of appointments in writing. Prepare time\/cost estimates for clients on projects. Plan and monitor progress of projects. Manage and Perform design work as required. Prepare project reports, specifications, minutes, correspondence. Control the quality and productivity of work done. Attend meetings with clients. Ensure that specific client and project requirement are implemented. Obtain and confirm detailed project briefs and prepare budgets. Compile report and bids. Ensure Construction Works are built to specifications. Ensure quality of work is to acceptable standards. Ensure accurate as-built records. Assist with the Professional registration of junior staff. Ensure conformance of the proposal to the client's requirements. Review documents prepared by junior staff. Manage project budgets in conjunction with the Project Manager. Management of project quality. Identify and secure new clients. Prepare and Review Technical Contract Documents.
