Service Consultant – Independent Financial Advisor

The purpose of the Service Consultant role is to:

Provide administrative support to all advisors in the Cape Town office and implement all client service-related processes Investments. To assist with administrative support in other offices as need arise.

1. Draw investments and risk quotes.
2. Preparing new business files for advisors – applications.
3. Submit new business and manage all related processes.
4. Manage existing business queries – and keep advisor and client updated. Work closely with Advice Consultants/Para-planners to draw and collate information required for Annual Review files.
5. Work closely with Advice Consultants/Para-planners to draw and collate information required for FNAs.
6. Manage Financial Advisors diary.
7. Ensure all compliance documents are received and stored.
8. Perform general administration duties on all product lines offered to clients.
9. Liaise with product providers (call center agents, consultants and marketing support), clients and suppliers in the execution of your duties.
10. Assist in preparing for quarterly and annual compliance audits.
11. Office administration: work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that the office is suitable for optimal functioning.
12. Assist with all marketing initiatives.

Minimum 5 years experience as a Service Consultant in the Financial Planning Industry.

Experience in use of X-Plan or other industry related tool would be an advantage

Must have worked for more independent Financial Advisors and worked with companies like Allan Gray, Momentum, Old Mutual, Stanlib, Liberty, PPS, etc.
