JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known Manufacturer of Analytical Laboratory Instruments requires the above to service and repair laboratory instrumentation working in close relationship with Clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

A National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or related qualification (Process Instrumentation would be advantageous) is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked in a Service Technician or similar role at Customer sites is essential
Previous experience having worked as a Service Technician or Engineer servicing analytical laboratory instruments is preferred.
The successful candidate must be computer literate.
Previous experience with customer support and customer engagement in putting customer services first is preferred.
Must have the ability to take initiative and confidently solve Customer problems with assertiveness.
Must have the ability to work in a team environment during conversations, meetings, and collaboration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Servicing and repairing Customer instruments within the chemical, food and various other sciences industries.
Troubleshooting and communicating with Customers regarding queries and issues on various laboratory products.
Writing reports on the findings and submitting them to Management.
Compiling Customer quotations and service activities.
Taking care of Company equipment and stock.
Following through with administrative duties, outstanding or amended orders.
Supporting the Customer in having their equipment running effectively.
Executing all service activities on technical equipment, including but not exclusive to installation, maintenance, diagnosis, emergency repairs as planned by the local operation.
Maximising equipment performance in line with guidelines and specialist direction.
Managing all administration tasks within a given time frame including call feedback, expense claims and technical updates and daily administration necessary to complete the role.
Liaising and working with the local Sales Teams to meet market and business requirements.
Complying with the service training and manuals provided, working at all times within the local health and safety guidelines and maintaining quality standards through everything done.
Maintaining accurate records of personal parts inventory, ensuring the quality of all parts remain in the condition and packaging with parts numbers as received.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
