JOB SUMMARY:
Urgent requirement for suitably qualified and experienced, permanent level Lift Service Technician in Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Education Requirement:

Trade Certificate: Lift Mechanic
N3 Certificate in Electrical Engineering
At least 2 years lift experience as a qualified Lift Mechanic

Responsibilities:

Constant contact with Service Leader / Foreman and Call Centre.
Keep Company property and vehicles always clean and tidy.
To ensure the safe operation of the installation and always comply with safe working procedures, including
the appropriate use of Company issued PPE & PPC.
Communicate with building Caretaker / Manager / Owner before and after completing Services at all times & attend to Customer complaints promptly.
Plan & carry out routine Service as per service methodology and all laid down manufacturer procedures.
Record all maintenance visits, inspections and work carried out in the installation Record Book; sign off accordingly
Attend to troublesome installations (sick units).
Carry out standby duties.
Attend to callbacks; constantly reduce callbacks to better the budget and all callback reports to be given to the Call Centre on completion of each callback.
Ensure that all installations within the Service route are serviced as per contractual obligation specified and timesheets handed in to the Service Leader as per arrangements.
All work to comply with Government Regulations and Company norms and standards.
Generate Repair / Spares sales and Modernization.
Attend Customer - & Depot meetings.
General Field related administration (e.g. Timesheets, Material Requisition, Stop Reports, Chargeable,
Feedback on Inspection Items, CPSI) to be completed accurately, factually and timeously.
Ordering, collecting and fitting of spares. No spares may be stored or left in Motor rooms.
To protect the Service portfolio by:
Providing quality Service always.
Containing costs wherever possible.
Constantly being aware of any foreign companies on sites and making enquires.
Reporting of any of the above activities to your Service Leader.
To be neat and tidy according Company to requirements always (dress code).
Carry out any other work related assignments delegated by the E.I. Manager / Service Leader
