Summary

Seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Settlements Specialist to support the efficient processing of securities transactions across global financial markets. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end settlements lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate trade confirmation, allocation, and resolution of discrepancies, while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and market regulations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in mitigating settlement risk, improving operational processes, and supporting cross-functional teams within a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm and allocate trades with counterparties and internal stakeholders

• Ensure all trades are settled accurately and within required timelines

• Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies through liaison with internal and external parties

• Maintain accurate settlement records and documentation

• Monitor and analyse settlement activity to identify potential risks or process improvements

• Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Provide operational support to related departments where required

• Perform additional duties aligned with business needs

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline

• 3–5 years’ experience within a Settlements or Trade Support environment

• Strong understanding of settlements, trading processes and financial markets

• Experience working with global securities and market infrastructure

• Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Knowledge of domestic and international settlement practices

• Familiarity with emerging and developed financial markets

• Process improvement or operational efficiency experience

• Strong organisational and multitasking ability

• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Flexible approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
