Seeking a Shift Co-Ordinator
In the FMCG sector for a Temp position in Randfontein.

POSITION INFO:

Shift Co-Ordinator

Reporting to: Operations
Seniority Level: Mid Career (5-6 years of experience)
Region: Gauteng
Location: Randfontein - Western Suburbs
Employment Type: 2-Month Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Shift Co-Ordinator will be responsible for managing the entire Sorghum Milling & Packing process, ensuring production and packing of products align with safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

Agree and implement the production plan
Analyse shift results and make necessary adjustments
Ensure adherence to quality standards
Diagnose plant problems and coordinate repairs
Monitor operational efficiencies and recommend corrective actions
Reduce waste and optimize production
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain safety systems
Drive a cost-conscious culture and manage productivity
Assist in recruitment and people development
Initiate disciplinary actions and resolve conflicts
Coordinate implementation of best-in-class principles

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

Bilingual proficiency
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Working knowledge of industrial relations
Capacity to lead and influence others

Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12
NQF Level 5 Tertiary qualification (Higher Certificate)
5 years of relevant experience in FMCG food production
Experience in managing unionised workforce
Working knowledge of MS Office
Demonstrative leadership skills
