SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Shift Leader to join their dynamic team in Durban (Prospecton).

POSITION INFO:
Job Responsibilities:
Main purpose:
Ensure satisfactory utilization of labour and material resources to support customer requirements.

Elimination of waste:

• Record and manage total units produced to meet targets.
• Accurately measure, record, and manage Change Over time/Lost.
• Minimise, measure, and record Unplanned Overtime to meet targets.
• Monitor & control the usage of PPE & Consumables.
• Effective management & deployment of resources.
• Evaluate rejects root cause and create plans for discussion with management to reduce or eliminate losses within your control and act accordingly.

• Improve production within areas of control.

• Manage, improve & promote 5S in the plant according to the 5S Audit Sheet.
• Ensure PPE Issued and Correct Usage and follow SHEMS Procedures.
• Ensure incident reports are filled in timeously. Manage, improve & meet safety targets within the working area.
• Perform machine/equipment safety checks.

• Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications.
• Manage & reduce the outflow of defective components.

• Compile production schedule.
• Ensure stock is available for production.

• National Senior Certificate (Critical)
• Supply Chain or A Relevant qualification (Advantageous)
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate computer skills

• Intermediate computer skills
• Forklift license (adv)
• Supervisory Experience
• ±6 Months Experience with ME deployment (Advantageous)
• Quality Experience
