JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity based in Boksburg for a Shipping Specialist and Buyer specialising in mining machines and equipment. Advanced MS Excel, Supply Chain, INCOTERMs and global logistics is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications & Experience:

Matric
Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
Tertiary qualifications in supply-chain / shipping / logistics would be beneficial
In-depth knowledge and experience on ERP systems
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about international procurement and the challenges around imports and exports.
This person needs to be well experienced in INCOTERMs and global logistics handling.
Buying and procurement experience would be an advantage.
Supply chain knowledge and experience
3-5 years working experience in a similar role
Mining Industry knowledge

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for obtaining and negotiating importing quotes for all air and sea freight rates with freight forwarders.
Cleverly combine shipments and arrange bookings with carriers or freight forwarders.
Procure stock from overseas, process purchase orders and liaise with our foreign vendors.
Assist with exports to other countries.
Provide assistance for duties pertaining to the import and export control function as required.
Responsible for local consumable buying.
Expedite according to the company’s demand.
Maintain back orders and inform the rest of the supply-chain team on expected delivery dates.
Adhere to company standards, policies and procedures as well as customers standards at all times.
