The Role: Site Agent
This role is integral to delivering civil infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety and regulatory frameworks. As a Site Agent, you will oversee the operational delivery of multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and run multiple civil projects in both urban and rural settings.

Liaise with clients and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery and foster strong working relationships.

Review and amend technical drawings as needed.

Lead site-based teams and establish a culture of accountability and performance.

Manage resources across project sites in coordination with Site Agents and Contracts Managers.

Plan and monitor the delivery of materials and manage supply chain discrepancies.

Uphold health and safety compliance, overseeing on-site traffic and conducting safety checks.

Engage with local authorities for inspections and permits related to site conditions.

Communicate project progress through detailed reports and client updates.

Act as a primary point of contact for subcontractors, public queries, and complaints.

Maintain quality control across all project phases.

Apply innovative technologies and improve processes for enhanced project efficiency.

Support and mentor junior staff, identifying training needs.

Handle administrative tasks, scheduling, and documentation with precision.
About You

Minimum 35 years of experience in a similar civil or utility-based site management role.

Relevant engineering qualification (or equivalent).

Strong understanding of civils, drainage, or utilities (particularly water and electricity).

Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Commercially astute with experience managing project budgets and costs.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of HSQE practices and ground support systems.

Proficient in relevant software tools and general computer use.

Full, clean drivers license.

Able to relocate to Ireland and manage a dynamic work environment.

Calm under pressure and capable of meeting deadlines.
