POSITION INFO:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing equipment, staff, safety, stores, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with company procedures and customer requirement Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive performance. Manage machine inspections, servicing schedules, maintenance, and equipment availability. Lead and supervise site personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards, PPE requirements, attendance, training, and disciplinary procedures. Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, stock, and attendance records. Manage site stores, stock control, inventories, and procurement processes. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. Supervise log yard operations, material handling, and customer specifications. Coordinate HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll inputs, employee records, leave, performance management, and employee relations. Monitor operational costs, fuel consumption, and productivity while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with management, customers, suppliers, and site teams through regular meetings and reporting. Requirements: Proven experience in site, operations, or fleet management within an industrial, forestry, logistics, or similar environment. Strong leadership, people management, and organisational skills. Good understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance. Experience with stock control, maintenance planning, and administrative reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
