  The Role:

  Essential functions:

  • Conducting and / or providing support/installations on all hardware/software installed and supported by the business.
  • Ensuring quality inspections during/after new installations and sign-off on quality before handing over to the service department
  • Ensuring that customers receive service and support as per the business DI and ISO Standards
  • Diagnosing IT network related problems and informing client where necessary.
  • Resolving project installations within reasonable agreed timelines.
  • Allocating/ Capturing of daily hours on the XM system
  • Attending weekly project meetings with the project manager to ensure customer satisfaction and contract growth.
  • Preparing documents for reporting back to project manager on long outstanding or highlevel problems.
  • Providing training to fellow colleagues and clients
  • Performing additional work outputs related to the role
  Skills and Experience:

  Essential Qualifications:

  • Gr 12 or equivalent College diploma
  • MCSE and or N+/A+ or N.DIP Electronic/Electrical Engineering (LC)
  • Other access control time and attendance software certificates

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Industry related certification

  Experience required:

  • Function related experience: 3 years
  • Project experience:  3 years
  • Positive attitude and the capability of working under pressurised conditions.
  • Be prepared to work overtime on request - no constraints to specific working hours should the clients business require it.
  • Interaction with Customers to determine and document their software needs, including Payroll Interfaces, customized reports etc.
  • Must be structured and methodical with exceptional fault-finding abilities.
  • Networking Skills â?? TCP/IP, DHCP, Static VLAN (N+ will be beneficial)
  • General Market Knowledge â?? Understanding high demand of Customer Service
  • Self-Starter and Motivated â?? Driven by the need to succeed
  • Computer skills â?? MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Internet.
  • Electronic Skills â?? Low Current Power, Relays.
  • Software installation and configuration skills.(3 years+)
  • Hardware installation skills.(3 years+)
  • Experience in installation of Turnstiles, Vehicle Barriers, Mantraps
  • Microsoft SQL 2005 and 2008 experience
  • Extensive Sagem product experience
  • Experience in the installation commissioning of CCTV installations
  • Experience in training clients in basic and intermediate functionality of installed systems
  Other:
