Our client specializes in project support for the (petro)chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a Site Supervisor - Marine Engineering to
join their team in the Netherlands.

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-10 years’ experience in a site supervisor or marine engineering role, ideally in shipbuilding or marine construction projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine engineering principles, shipbuilding processes, and maritime safety standards.
• Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring effective collaboration and high productivity.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

• On-Site Supervision: Supervise all on-site engineering activities related to marine projects, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
• Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress, including quality checks, compliance with safety protocols, and adherence to project schedules. Address any issues or delays promptly.
• Safety Management: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols specific to marine projects.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work performed, changes to project plans, and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to senior management on site progress and challenges.
