JOB DESCRIPTION:

Snr Event Project Manager (JB1636)
Location: Braamfontein Johannesburg
Salary: R50 000 - R60 000 per month
Duration: Permanent

Our Client is looking for an energetic, passionate, and creative individual who is organised, loves food, and entertainment has strong people management skills and an eye for detail to manage their market and various venues. The right candidate should have experience in eventing, retail or markets and digital marketing. As this is a full time and on-site role you would be required to work on weekends.

The Event Manager will be responsible for organising and running the weekly Saturday market and other events at various other venues throughout the week and weekends. This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

Liaising with and booking in approx. 80 traders
Food sampling
Manage and coordinate traders weekly
Event logistics - ensuring a smooth bump in and bump out of the venues
Organising entertainment, music, sponsors, visual displays and staffing
Marketing of the events
Social media and website management
Venue maintenance
Budgeting
Post event reporting
Strategize opportunity to grow and evolve the market and other venues
Externally seeking new business
