Social Investment Account Manager

Our client, a non-profit company (NPC) in Paarl, that runs a variety of initiatives to ensure that social efforts have an actual impact in the communities of the Cape Winelands is looking to employ a Social Investment Account Manager to join their team.

The Social Investment Account Manager will be responsible for increasing funding for our NPC and managing all administrative, best practices and contractual requirements regarding funds and donations.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Establish, retain and build relationships with local and international social investors to increase funding for the NPC’s programmes and overall mission.
• Conduct and manage fundraising initiatives and encourage investor visits to the NPC’s area of operations.
• Assist in promoting the brand in public spaces and conferences to attract potential investors.
• Investigate possible fundraising revenue streams and implement account strategies to meet investor trends and needs.
• Establish and manage individual investor requirements with regards to funds, tax benefits, CSI, B-BBEE, media and reporting.
• With the Grant Committee manage the selection of beneficiaries and distribution of funds to the NPC’s member organisations.
• From time to time, manage other project initiatives or investor requests.

REQUIREMENTS

• A relevant undergraduate degree.
• Five years’ experience and proven track record of fundraising.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
• Effective administrative, management, budgeting and planning skills.
• Digital skills.
• Agreement with the NPC’s core values.
• Membership of the Institute of Fundraising or similar body.
• Applicants must have their own vehicle and a valid South African driver’s licence. Will be required to visit organisations and events regularly and must be prepared to travel provincially and nationally if necessary.
• Applicants must be a South African citizen or have a valid South African work permit.
• Experience in the social impact or non-profit sectors.
• Hard-working.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Pro-active, innovative and self-starter.
• Proven time management skills.

Market-related, including expenses and travel allowances, to match experience and qualifications.
