Software Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
An original Design Manufacturer, that specialises in the design, manufacturing, integration, and support of advanced technology systems, is looking for a Software Design Engineer.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications Required:

• BSc (Computer Science) or BEng (Computers).

• At least 5-10 years relevant work experience in the development of software
• 3 years’ experience in C#
• 3 years’ experience in C++
• 3 years’ experience in the development of mobile applications for Android and iOS
• Python / Java / Linux skills advantageous

• Software driver development (USB, ethernet etc.)
• Embedded operating systems
• Mobile application development
• Documentation, including design and test specifications of complex software items
• Analysis and design

• Software design, documentation and development
• Capturing and analysing user requirements
• Designing and implementing solutions
• Creating project documentation
• Undertaking technology research
• Organising and attending reviews
• Making regular software builds
• Addressing support and production requests
• Writing technical design documentation
• Mentoring
• Assisting with business development
