Software Developer

SUMMARY:
Here is an opportunity for an experienced Software Developer to join an international company. Work closely with the Lead Software Engineer developing where you will be testing embedded software and utilizing your Matlab/Simulink skills to conduct simulations and develop system plant models.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for documentation, verification and testing of embedded software

Will be responsible for software development and control systems optimization

Responsible for managing automated processing and analysis of recorded field data

Development and support of CAN-bus logger units

Simulations using Matlab/Simulink and development of system plant models

Responsible for support and development of data analysis tools written in Matlab

Skills & Experience:

Must be proficient in Matlab/Simulink software

Attention to Detail

Excellent task management skills

Must be a team player and work well under pressure

Must have knowledge of J1939 CAN communication

Experience with test equipment/tools

Must be willing to travel overseas

Minimum of 2 – 6 years’ experience

Qualification:

BSc / BEng / Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering

MSc / MEng / Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering is adv.

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
