SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions in line with business and client requirements. The role involves translating user and system requirements into scalable applications, developing high-quality code using object-oriented programming principles, and ensuring solutions meet functional and technical specifications. The successful candidate will perform unit testing, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Working closely with internal teams, the Software Engineer will contribute to system enhancements, support ongoing projects, and drive continuous improvement of software applications. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Expertise in software development technologies such as C#, .NET, C++, PHP, or similar, combined with a collaborative and proactive mindset, is essential for success.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain software applications according to functional and technical specifications. Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and system architecture discussions. Develop software solutions using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and methodologies. Create and maintain technical documentation in line with organisational standards. Conduct unit testing and support system testing to ensure software quality and reliability. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software defects, system issues, and performance-related problems. Monitor and manage known system errors, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution. Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the development environment. Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field. 5-8 years' experience working with Object-Oriented Programming concepts and methodologies. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Software Engineer or similar development role. Experience with software development technologies such as C#, .NET, C++, PHP , or equivalent programming languages. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with InterSystems Ensemble will be advantageous.
