We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer - Expert for a fixed term contract for Pretoria.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Building web-based applications
- Full Stack â?? Front-End / Back-End
Requirements Gathering:
- Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
Projects and Maintenance Requests:
- Ensure that all processes are investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements.
- Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives.
- Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System Owner.
- Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
- AWS experience will be beneficial.
- Infrastructure experience will be beneficial
- Managing projects / processes
- Ability to develop within a specific sought-after programming language
- Strong working knowledge with software development tools, techniques and approaches used to build application solutions
- Working knowledge with software development tools, techniques and approaches used to build application solutions
- Cloud computing technologies, Business drivers and emerging computing trends
- Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards).
- Ensure that the following steps in the Development Cycle are executed:
  - Preparation of user/operation manual
  - User training
  - System testing/parallel runs
  - System implementation
  - User sign-off
  - System audits/ quality assurance
Qualifications and Experience needed for the role:
- IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications / 8+ years of experience
- Working knowledge and experience of AWS
