Software System Designer: Intermediate: FTC: Angular, Java, JEE, WPS, BPM

What will you be responsible for:

To translate business, other stakeholder requirements and user stories into system requirements and act as a link between business analyst, other requirements stakeholders and the software team

Translate overarching end to end design into detailed designs and provide technical leadership to the software developers and other designers

Your duties could include:

• Solution design across multiple technologies/products
• Ensure an understanding of system requirements and end to end design to produce the detail design
• Ensure understanding of system landscape, standards, legislation, and governance to provide effective business requirements
• Provide analysis in terms of business and stakeholders requirements
• Understand technology/domain in detail to provide effective designs
• Understand the operational environment and impact of design on the specific environment
• Accountable to produce detailed designs as per the requirements received
• Understand the data required to support the domain
• Provide input into test plans and cases on a system level
• Realize the strategic direction/architecture of the organization to the end-to-end solutions and technology road map
• Collaborate with the key impacted stakeholders
• Evaluate options for risk alternatives and make recommendations
• Identify and develop mitigation plans for dependency and system conflicts
• Provide use cases and sequence diagram
• Conduct impact analysis & Develop integration test packs
• Understand, interpret, and review Macro design
• Ensure the delivery of quality minded designs including testing
• Conduct trouble shooting sessions and assisting developer with queries
• Collaborate effectively with the business analysts
• Update the asset knowledge base: Technical Documentation, lessons learned, training documentation
• Ensure work product or design enables fulfillment of the architectural target state
• Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values
• Stay abreast of development in field of expertise
• Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities
• Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems through agile thinking
• Conduct self-development both by mentoring developers and designers, and being mentored

Requirements: Matric & Diploma l Certificate in relevant solution design methodology

5+ years’ experience l IT Architecture l Infrastructure Architecture l IT/Banking Knowledge l System Design l Requirement Analysis l Technical Leadership l Managing Conflict l Multiple Operating Systems l Application programs l Operating Systems
