Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the CTO, the Solutions Architect will be responsible for introducing innovative and fit-for-purpose technology solutions across the Group of companies. Working with the business change owners and the IT team the Solutions Architect will ensure the overall technical strategy is executed whilst making sure business technical requirement are met. An Engineering team will report to the Solutions Architect who will build, document and handover operational responsibility of systems to the IT Service Assurance team. The Solutions Architect will ensure all chosen technologies are secure, stable and scalable.

• Lead and manage the engineering team
• Analyzing the technology environment
• Analyzing enterprise specifics
• Analyzing requirements
• Setting collaboration frameworks
• Creating a solution prototype
• Participating technology selection
• Solution Development Control
• Project Management Support
• Produce high quality visual reports/documentation of existing and new architecture
• Enterprise modelling
• Security practices and systems, ranging from business level security down to technology level security
• Helping to make sure that the build matches the architecture

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• IT Infrastructure and Cloud Development : Cisco Meraki, Microsoft Azure, Office 365
• Engineering and software architecture design : Contact Centre, Back office CRM, Microsoft development stack, Industry related process platforms
• Business Analysis
• DevOps
• Project and product management
• Experience in the Energy section preferred
• Contribution of service transition to operations
• Database design
• Experience of working in a multi-layered security environment
