SUMMARY:

Our client based in Centurion is seeking the expertise of a Solutions Specialist to provide specialist solution advice, design and coordinate the implementation of appropriate and innovative solutions in-line with strategic and business-driven initiatives that best meets the needs of the client.



POSITION INFO:

Education and Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Business/ Engineering/ IT or similar
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level

Responsibilities

  • Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to increased costs
  • Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
  • Deliver against operational and cost targets
  • Prioritize resource allocation to minimize and reduce wastage
  • Build relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-in
  • Engage in cross-functional relationships to obtain and to provide work support
  • Resolve customer dissatisfaction/complaints by taking ownership of the problem
  • Analyze customer feedback to help improve customer service
  • Ensure that delivery is accurate, timeous and of an acceptable standard
  • Ensure that product or service knowledge and advice is technically accurate
  • Know and understand customer needs to deliver a quality service
  • Propose ideas to improve customer service
  • Analyze and examine data to identify opportunities to drive growth and opportunities for efficiencies and improvement
  • Conduct trend and impact analysis to identify the need to build new, or leverage existing solutions
  • Use data to create quality data management dashboards
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
  • Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targets
  • Accumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities
  • Understand the technical trends, commercial market, competition and trends

  • Conduct research to identify ideal target markets and new entrants for product launches ensuring that new products are relevant and viable and assess opportunities and threats from these

  • Partner with product house or business unit to perform gap analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Consult with product house or function to identify, define, scope and document solutions, products and enhancements (at a detailed level), which best meets strategic objectives of the business
  • Draw on knowledge and experience to identify, investigate and solve business problems, and in doing so develop new solutions or enhancements and propose recommendations to business
  • Prepare the business case and assist with the specifications for new or enhanced business solution
  • Manage continuous improvement of all business solutions within assigned portfolio
  • Innovate by finding the best fit solution for the situation such as the flexibility of delivery and customized solutions which result in more efficient outcomes
  • Take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability
  • Ensure implementation of relevant policies, governance and practice standards across the business
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
  • Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by FNB
  • Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialization and identify
