Duties:

Manage reporting duties such as preparing monthly management reports
Assist in preparing annual Group Budget
Supporting IFRS 17 implementation for management reporting
Reviewing of and support of technical working papers that serves as an input to the annual financial statements and integrated reports
Technical project involvement that could include all aspects of project management

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Honours in BCom Accounting
CA (SA)

Experience:

Completed articles
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience working in an insurance/financial environment
Experience using financial reporting systems such as Walker/Essbase/Hyperion Financial Management/SAP is advantageous
Expert knowledge relating to the insurance industry: being able to understand technical and/or professional aspects of work and continually maintains the technical knowledge (eg. IFRS)

Focus primarily on customers
Knowledge of financial queries and recommendations
Manages complexity effectively
Must be a result-driven individual
