Our client, a retirement home in the Helderberg area, has an opportunity for a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team.

The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly in the retirement home and in the frail care unit.

We are looking forward to receiving applications from enthusiastic, responsible, and motivated candidates who have the following experience:

Requirements:

Must be a registered Staff Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council.
At least 5 years’ experience of elderly care, as recently as 6 months’ ago.
Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to medication rounds.
Good wound care knowledge and skills.
Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations within the elderly care environment.
Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Proficiency in writing reports.
Must be a strong leader.
Must have relevant experience with regards to the management of geriatric conditions.
Must be willing to work shifts that include day and night shifts, and weekends.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Area: Helderberg area – Strand / Somerset West.

Salary offered: ±R18 000 per month – depending on qualifications and experience.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
