Staff Nurse

Description:

Our client, a care center between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, is looking for a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team.

The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly in the retirement home and in the care unit.

Please note that this permanent position requires day and night shifts.

Requirements:

• Must be a registered Staff Nurse with the SA Nursing Council.
• At least 3 years’ experience of elderly care.
• Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to medication rounds.
• Good wound care knowledge and skills.
• Infection control experience.
• Basic computer literacy in Outlook will be advantageous.
• Must have relevant experience with regards to the management of geriatric conditions.
• Must be willing to work shifts that include day and night shifts, and weekends.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Area: Stellenbosch Area

Work shifts: 7h to 7h (2 days on 3 days off 3 days on 2 days off)

Salary offered: ±R16 500 (basic) per month + overtime and nightshift allowance. Additional benefits will be discussed at interview level.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
