JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is a young dynamic company in the FMCG sector. They have an opportunity for a Stock & Credit Controller to handle the local creditors of the company. This position is based at their Head Office in Montague Gardens.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Stock/Inventory Import/Export Administration
Local currency processing
Stock Management
Inventory Control
Accounting
Full Creditors control
Maintain suppliers/account data in terms of standard operating procedures
Ensure that creditors are paid in a timeously manner
Chase overdue invoices by telephone, emails, or letters within the agreed timeframe
Escalate the overdue balances as per the credit policy
Maintain accurate record of interactions made with creditors (and internal stakeholders)
Regular contact with suppliers to ensure all debts are managed as necessary
Petty Cash allocation and monthly reconciliation
Ability to manage Stock takes and verify adjustments

Requirements:

3 to 5 years Creditors Handling experience within a manufacturing company
Post matric accounting diploma/certificate beneficial
Stock/Inventory control, Import/Export Administration
Pastel Proficient in the above as well as manufacturing processing
3 to 5 years Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
Clearing and forwarding experience
Advanced Excel

Desired skills:

Computer literate, exposure to manufacturing ERP system and experience with Pastel accounting packages preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy and precision
Assertive, confident, and enthusiastic as well as a self-motivator
Ability to show initiative and work under pressure
Be deadline driven
Ability to work independently and part of a team
