Stockpile Controller (Open Cast Mining & Plant Environment)

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an honest, dedicated, hardworking, and safety-conscious Stockpile Controller to join a leading open-cast mining operation. The ideal candidate will be agile, results-driven, and possess strong stockpile management experience in a mining and plant environment.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2+ years’ experience in stockpile management within an open-cast mine & plant
• Valid South African driver’s license
• Computer literate (MS Office, stockpile management systems)
• Strong communication skills, team player, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage & maintain stockpiles in compliance with company standards
• Monitor daily tonnage, compare with surveyor reports, and report discrepancies
• Maintain display boards with accurate stockpile information
• Liaise with clients on product availability and specifications
• Ensure proper traffic management in stockpile areas
• Verify correct product loading and prevent overloading
• Oversee laboratory sample collection and validate results against stockpile data
• Blend products as per client requirements and report on tons, grades & blends
