Store Controller

Our client based in Addo has a position available in their organization for a Store Controller, who will look after the store functions at Farms. The successful candidate will report to the Materials Manager.

Requirements:

• Matric.
• Valid driver’s licence with own transport.
• Ability to work independently.
• Previous stock controlling experience essential.
• Pastel Evolution experience will be advantageous.
• Accuracy and trustworthy worker.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Housekeeping of chemical store.
• Goods Receipt in Pastel Evolution.
• Goods Issuing in Pastel Evolution.
• Placing Purchase orders in Pastel Evolution for Both inventory items and services.
• Handling queries in pastel evolution.
• Inspecting stock upon arrival to ensure it matches what was ordered and what is on delivery note.
• Weekly Cycle Counts.
• Monthly full stock count.
• Requesting new material codes.
• Determining stacking patterns.
• Ensure FIFO is maintained.
• Ensure batch management is maintained.
• Maintain min max levels.
• Monitor chemical expiry dates and highlight when chemicals are close to expiry date.
• Advise on slow running stock.
• Diesel issuing, ordering and dip readings.
• Arranging with supplier for the disposal of old containers and pallets.
• Completion of Health and Safety checklists.
• Staging of chemicals for packing into chemical carts.
