SUMMARY:
Our client, an industry leading computer wholesaler is looking for a Storeman to receive, store and issue goods to ensure uninterrupted supply of required stock to the Company and clients.

POSITION INFO:

Specification	•Administer the daily movement and storage of stock, ensuring 100% accuracy at all times •Picking, packing and distributing orders accurately, efficiently and on time, where necessary personally delivering to Dispatch if clients are waiting •Carry out weekly cycle check counts and report stock discrepancies to Supervisor •Save handling of all stock to ensure 0% damages. This includes following predetermined standards of height restrictions when packing, safe loading of trolleys, and correct handling of all items with circuits (never touching copper parts directly with fingers.) •Maintain effective and correct shelving arrangement with correct item codes displayed •Assist with internal enquiries •Able to safely handle pallet jacks and trolleys, packing trolleys in the correct manner to prevent damages due to stock toppling over if the trolley should bump •Receive, store and issue goods against orders •Check goods received against orders placed on suppliers •Ensure the right quantity and quality is received

Requirements	Qualifications and Experience: •Matric •At least 1 year’s applicable warehouse/stores experience in ICT Skills and Knowledge: •Good organisational skills •Using information technology •Good time management •Good interpersonal skills •Good oral and written communication skills •Basic mathematics principles •Stock taking •Health and safety •Best storage practices to mitigate risk in terms of damage, loss of stock •Inventory keeping •Correct handling to prevent damage •Correct packing and shelving •Use of systems and information technology
