JOB SUMMARY:
Stores Manager, North Durban

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dynamic, team player/leader required to head up the stores department of a growing concern in the printing and manufacture sector.

Must be able to work at a high pace/intensity level, under a lot of pressure, without getting flustered. Must have at least 2-3 years experience in Stores.

The manager is to ensure the efficient operation of the stores dept:- helping to improve systems and eliminate wastages (time & material), oversee the efficient issuing and receiving of stock, monitor & control stock levels, assist with the requisition of stock and monitor all quality.

Renumeration:- R20 000 + funeral benefit

Duties:-

> Ensure job cards are picked & issued to relevant depts timeously and ensuring job card specs are being followed.

> Ensure stock is stored in the correct storeroom and on the correct bin location and labelled correctly.

> Receiving stock:- confirm P.O. and delivery note correspond and inform buyer.

> Managing the stores assistant

> General housekeeping of department, up to company standards

> Training of staff to use equipment correctly and safely

> Identify any training needs

> Report safety issues to superiors

> Reporting on any stock variations / shortages/ quality issues to superiors / relative departments

> Purchasing stock inventory, to optimum / trigger point levels.

> Administration and filling of all P.O / delivery notes etc.

> Good communication with production dept. for smooth flow of materials required at all times.

> Attend daily production meetings, with regards to any stock related issues

> Able to move and carry large/ heavy boxes

> General administration

> Working knowledge of Xperdyte and Pastel ideal and to be able to start as soon as possible.
