SUMMARY:
Engineering company in Gauteng is looking for a suitably qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman to join their team in Centurion.

Qualifications and minimum requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Basic understanding of mathematics and physics
Engineering / Draughting certificate or diploma
Autodesk suite of programs such as AutoCAD & Bim360
Revit (Proficiency 3+ Years - Intermediate) – Advanced will be advantageous
Knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel
Basic understanding of structures (Concrete, Steel, and timber)
Ability to assess and understand architectural layouts in order to coordinate and overlay with structural layouts

Experience:

Minimum 10+ Years in retail, commercial and residential steel and concrete structures (Timber, Petrochemical and Agriculture will be advantageous)
A thorough understanding of reinforcement steel and detailing (Preparation of bending schedules)
Preparation of concrete drawings (layouts, sections, and details)
Preparation of structural steel layouts, sections, and details
Site experience – assisting the engineer/project manager with site inspections, measurements, and surveys

Computer literacy:

Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
AutoCAD 3D
Autodesk Revit
Autodesk BIM360
Prokon Probar (Reinforcement detailing software)
Prokon (will be advantageous)

POSITION INFO:
Position available for a qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman. Must have: Grade 12 (Matric), Basic understanding of mathematics and physics, Engineering / Draughting certificate or diploma, Autodesk suite of programs such as AutoCAD & Bim360, Revit (Proficiency 3+ Years - Intermediate) – Advanced will be advantageous, Knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel
