SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and motivated Substation Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review substation designs, layouts, and technical specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration.
Conduct technical assessments and provide solutions for engineering challenges.
Prepare design documentation, drawings, and reports.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Support project management in planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.

Minimum Requirements:

BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3–8 years’ experience in substation design (distribution and/or transmission level).
Strong knowledge of relevant standards and codes (IEC, SANS, etc.).
Proficiency in design software and CAD packages.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
