SUMMARY:
Client in the MINING INDUSTRY IN THE FAR WEST RAND requires the services of a Supervisor Engineering Technician as soon as possible

POSITION INFO:

The appointee should:

Have a N6/S4 Instrumentation diploma qualification
Hold an Instrumentation trade test certificate
Have 3 years’ experience post Instrumentation trade test OR
Have 5 years’ experience post National diploma qualification
Have good communication and leadership skills.
Have sound interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Have understanding of SCADA systems
Exhibit good PLC fault finding skills
Be computer literate in Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate a high regard for safety and environment working rules and best practice.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Gold Occupational Health Centre
Be willing to work extended hours when required

Advantageous requirements:

GE Fanuc PLC hardware configuration and maintenance
Siemens S7 PLC hardware configuration and maintenance.
Supervisory experience.
Wonderware In-touch SCADA experience
Understand the Fridge plants and compressors

Key responsibilities:

Field instrumentation installation and maintenance.
Siemens S7 and GE Fanuc PLC configuration and maintenance.
System Integration of all related Instrumentation and Control circuits.
System control maintenance
Adhere to and enforce to all health and safety standards.
Act in an advisory capacity where possible, to Control and Instrumentation aspects
Be prepared to work adhoc hours and available for standby duties.
