SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

POSITION INFO:

Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product by ensuring that the right amount of product is made at the right time, as well as coordinate the storage of the product and organising the movement of goods from distribution centres to customers and stores involves forecasting trends and managing inventories.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leadership and Strategic Management:-

▪ Accountability & Engagement

▪ Tasking (Reports & Meetings)

▪ Performance Management

▪ Development / Mentoring

▪ Clarity on Culture & Values

▪ Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met

▪ Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff

▪ Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process

 

  1. Procurement:-

▪ Work with procurement managers and buyers to source the right products

▪ Product specifications (Sizes and Quality)

▪ Suppliers and alternatives

▪ Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers

▪ Pricing/Costing Strategy

▪ manage the costs involved while maintaining quality

▪ Negotiations

▪ Terms & MOQ’s

 

  1. Logistics:-

▪ Transport (inbound, within & outbound)

▪ Receiving

▪ Warehousing

▪ Issuing/Despatch

▪ Consumable Stores

▪ negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers

▪ control manufacturing and delivery processes

▪ oversee product storage, handling, and distribution

▪ use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery

▪ work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance

 

  1. ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning):-

▪ Sales Forecast from Retail & Bulk

▪ Stock levels and Strategic minimum stock

▪ Supplier lead times and minimum order quantities.

▪ manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain

▪ consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets

▪ implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.

 

  1. Manufacturing:-

▪ R&D

▪ Production

▪ Quality

 

  1. Product Development:-
  • Collates needs analysis from Retail & Bulk Sales
  • Collates product range availability from Suppliers
  • New products that have been accepted by Exco will then run through costings and promotional process, and if value added requirements in Manufacturing, the specs, process, and quality standards need to be signed off.
  • Add to Product range
  • Stock no. & ERP loading

 

QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Appropriate Qualifications in Supply Chain Management & Manufacturing and Logistics and or Commerce. Degree, Certificates, Diplomas or other.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

▪ 5 to 10 years’ experience at a Senior level in Logistics, Manufacturing and Procurement.

▪ Strong and proven track record of achieving results.

▪ Proven Leadership & Management experience

▪ Excellent Knowledge in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint

▪ Strong planning skills

▪ A logical and systematic approach to work

▪ Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines

▪ The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally

▪ Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams

▪ Negotiation and influencing skills

▪ Business management and analytical skills

▪ Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

▪ The ability to lead and motivate a team

▪ IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data

▪ And understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.

▪ Has previously been involved in Managing Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouses and Logistics in an independent position requiring certain deliverables.
