JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in Centurion is looking for a Supply Chain Manager within the IT industry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for implementing a purchasing policy and strategy, co-ordinating purchasing practices and maximising savings and benefits available from purchasing activities.

Responsibilities

Undertakes the tendering, evaluation, placement and monitoring of a portfolio of corporate contracts
Assists in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to BBBEE, sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and whole life costing
Evaluate suppliers on multiple criteria – BBBEE recognition level, price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection
Participates in negotiation of contract terms on a range of central contracts and to monitor performance against these contracts
Carries out the duties of this post in a manner which promotes equality of opportunity and shows due respect for the health and safety of all employees and customers
Performs risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
Oversees the procurement module in Acumatica that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods
Prepares procurement reports

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Min 4 years relevant experience.
