Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Manager, with Manufacturing/Production experience required for well-established manufacturing company in Randfontein. This is a contract position for 6-months only.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall procurement, stocking, receiving and delivery of supplies, parts and material
• Co-ordinate the full cycle of Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics management
• Negotiate with suppliers and communicate with internal customers
• Nurture and encourage good relationships with vendors – existing and new
• Manage both internal and external customer’s expectations
• Management of Inventory
• Budgeting and cost control of the Supply chain function
• Identification of bottlenecks and implementation of suitable solutions
• Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, lead times and efficiency
• Continuously analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements as may be needed
• Ensure proper housekeeping as well as compliance to the OSH Act
• Maintenance of all the stores tools, equipment and functional areas
• Management of the departmental staff – including training, coaching and discipline
• Foster positive working environment and maintain good staff morale

Requirements

• This is an AFFIRMATIVE ACTION position
• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is preferred
• MUST HAVE 5 years Manufacturing/Production support experience as a Supply Chain Manager - This is Non-negotiable.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license
• Good Management and leadership skills
• Computer literate - MS Office
• Extensive experience with ERP and MRP systems is a must (Evolution/Pastel would be beneficial)
• Good Database management experience is essential
• Good communication skills – Both verbal and written with all levels of staff
